We have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our Technology Transformation Function within CTO.

We are looking for a candidate with experience working within Telecommunications and breadth of experiences covering general OSS principles, Telco Cloud, Fixed or Mobile Networking technologies, Network Automation and Security & Data.

This role will own the Architecture of each strategic end state capability and drive the High Level Architecture, Design, Development, Delivery and Operationalisation of each capability. This role will drive the creation of a lean and modern ecosystem of technologies that enables us to be a more modern and agile organisation.

You will focus on driving Transformation Best Practices across Plan, Provide and Assure pillars ensuring that we enable Cost Reduction, Increase Revenue and support Technology Evolution. The role is key for shaping our developing OSS architecture around the goals of the business and supporting its future.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the delivery teams, ensuring the development of scalable, secure, and innovative digital products and platforms. Guide product, platform and data initiatives from “concept to commercialisation”.
  • Document, Define and Architect current stateend state and transition state Architectures for Products, Platforms and Data Estate in Insights and Performance.
  • Create and publish high-level architecture blueprints that address real-world business challenges. Ensure the architecture can flex where needed to unblock delivery and maintain momentum.
  • Ensure that delivery teams align with architectural guidance and defined transformation plan (via the appropriate cross CIO / CTO /CDO governance forums).
  • Ensure that all products and platforms adhere to the highest security and privacy standards and align with relevant industry regulations. Introduce modern cybersecurity techniques and best working practices to our internal data, products and platforms landscape.

The must haves
  • A good understanding of the OSS Telco product portfolio, general OSS architectural principles, processes, technology, and overall application engineering.
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure. Familiarity and hands-on experience with Telco Cloud (VNF/CNF), On-Prem Cloud, Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud architecture patterns and tools.
  • A working knowledge of fixed OR mobile networking technologies – RAN, Core, IP Transport / SDN, DOCIS, XGS PON.
  • Good knowledge of network programmability including patterns, best working practices, pitfalls and challenges.
  • Experience using tools in building and maintaining design artefacts including Service Models, Resource Models, API Contracts, Workflow Templates, Configuration Templates etc.
  • Experience building Network as a Service and Intent Based Orchestration along with an in-depth understanding of the patterns, tools, vendors, best working practices and pitfalls related to this.
  • Good knowledge of Self Healing and Closed Loop Automation, including experience in event streaming patterns and tools.
The other stuff we are looking for
  • Experience with Data Architecture best practices including data modelling, data flows and data consumption/production patterns.
  • Good knowledge of Industry Standards and Best Practices. The candidate should have good experience of Industry standards from MEF, TMF, Open Standards Bodies etc.
  • Experience with Workflow Automation tools, vendors, patterns, best practices and challenges.
  • Ability to digest roadmaps (our Transformation Plan) and be capable of translating into an architectural blueprint and solution designs at varying levels of detail.
