Our application process is super simple and consistent across all schemes, with the key difference being the deadlines - so be sure to keep track of the date for the scheme you're interested in.


We don’t ask for CVs, as part of our commitment to inclusive hiring. Instead, we focus on your potential, assessing your strengths, values, and motivations. From day one, you’ll be joining us on a permanent contract, so you can focus on growing your career with us from the start.


Each step of the process is designed to help us get to know you better and for you to learn more about us, ensuring we’re a great match. We’ll keep you in the loop with feedback and updates, so you’ll always know how you’re progressing and when you can expect to hear more.

To ensure our recruitment process is fair and inclusive for everyone, we’ve made significant effors to eliminate bias and focus on what really matters - your values, motivation, and strengths. Here’s how:

- We don’t ask for CVs. Instead, everyone completes the same application form, so everyone is assessed on the same criteria

- Our online assessment is designed to accurately identify talent without bias, focusing on the strengths and motivation that are essential for an early careers role at Virgin Media O2

- We use structured interviews with standardized questions to ensure all candidates are evaluated using the same criteria

- All candidates receive coaching before attending an assessment centre. This ensures everyone knows what to expect and has the same opportunity to prepare

- We ensure our interview and assessment panels are diverse and all our assessors are trained to recognise and address unconscious bias

We want to see your enthusiasm for a role as well as our business. So, we’d always suggest applying to the scheme that interests you the most

We’re all over social media, and our Graduate and Intern Facebook page is especially active – you’ll be invited to join once you’re with us. Here, you can drop us a message, see what current grads and interns are up to, and chat to others joining with you. We’ll also send you lots of info about your first rotation and where you’ll be based. And we run a summer event for all new grads and interns, so you’ll be able to get to know your colleagues before you start. Plus, the Future Careers team will always be on hand to answer any questions you have.
All our intern schemes are 13-month fixed-term contracts. If you perform particularly well, you could be offered a fast-track onto one of our graduate schemes.

As they’re designed to be ‘year in industry’ placements, our intern schemes are only open to undergraduates. If you’ve already graduated, or will be graduating soon, take a look at our graduate schemes.
