Are you an experienced technical professional with deep expertise in interconnect systems, mediation platforms, and OSS/BSS environments? We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Technical Specialist to join our Core IT team within the CIO Directorate, where technical leadership and service excellence are at the heart of what we do.
You will help support and improve our telecom billing systems. This role will focus on working with Unix-based platforms, Oracle databases, mediation systems, and running interconnect billing processes. The right candidate will be crucial in monitoring systems, validating data, solving issues, and fine-tuning performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and revenue is processed accurately. .
Key responsibilities include supporting mediation systems to ensure the accurate and timely processing of call and data records, handling interconnect billing activities such as reconciliation, reporting, and partner settlements, and carrying out root cause analysis to resolve both system and data issues. You’ll also play a central role in full lifecycle testing, from unit to integration and performance testing, whilst collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades and strategic projects.

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Previous demonstrable experience working in a similar Technical Specialist role in a complex technical and stakeholder environment
- Experience of working directly with OSS/BSS systems, with plenty of hands-on experience in supporting, maintaining, and improving them in real-world telecom environments
- Extensive experience working with Unix/Linux environments and writing shell scripts
- Highly experienced and confident in writing and managing sophisticated queries, procedures, and scripts using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience in working with different teams and external vendors, technical or not, to get things done, meet department goals, and deliver projects and tasks, even when under pressure or facing tight deadlines
