Here at Virgin Media O2, we are looking for a Strategic Account Manager - Android to join our dynamic Commercial team to support the development of our most strategic partnerships. You will collaborate alongside some of the world’s leading technology and media companies, be the driving force of our strategy and help to build an industry differentiated, customer centred suite of products and services that return long-term growth and profitability for our business.
You will be responsible for owning, growing, and maximising the value of a portfolio of strategic devices, services, technology and ecosystem partners that are critical to our commercial, customer, and technology ambitions. In this role you will translate partnership strategy into tangible commercial outcomes, ensuring that strategic partners deliver differentiated value across devices, propositions, go-to-market execution, and long-term innovation. Acting as the senior commercial interface, the Strategic Account Lead balances partner advocacy with internal accountability, ensuring alignment between partner roadmaps and the company’s business priorities.
This role operates at the intersection of commercial strategy, partner management, devices, marketing, and customer experience, requiring strong leadership, influence, and executive-level stakeholder engagement playing a pivotal role in delivering on our ambitions making us the UK’s network of choice for customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in working within a consumer-facing industry in either technology, telecommunications, gaming, media and/or content sectors. We are looking for a commercially astute individual, with a strong command of P&L management, performance oversight, data & insight and the ability to drive complex, high value customer solutions in a dynamic and competitive market.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Own end-to-end strategic account management for a defined portfolio of tier-1 and tier-2 strategic partners (e.g. OEMs, ecosystem players, technology providers)
- Develop and execute multi-year joint business plans (JBPs) aligned to company strategy, device roadmaps, and customer needs
- Drive commercial performance, including revenue growth, margin optimisation, investment efficiency, and partner funding (e.g. MDF, co-op marketing, innovation funding)
- Lead partner negotiations, including commercials, exclusivities, launch support, supply commitments, and contractual terms
- Act as the single senior point of accountability for partner performance, governance, escalation, and issue resolution
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Devices, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Technology, CX) to deliver joined-up partner execution
- Shape and influence device portfolio strategy, launch priorities, and proposition development through partner insight and market intelligence
- Lead joint go-to-market planning, including launch readiness, communications, campaigns, and channel enablement
- Provide strategic insight and recommendations to senior leadership on partner strategy, risks, opportunities, and market trends

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Experience in partnerships, portfolio, business and/or commercial management in technology, telecommunications and/or content & media industries
- Strategic thinking & commercial acumen: able to assess partner value holistically and prioritise long-term impact
- Advanced negotiation skills: confident leading complex, multi-variable negotiations with senior counterparts
- Analytical capability: strong with financial models, performance metrics, and business cases
- Collaboration & matrix leadership: leads through influence rather than authority
