Software Asset Management Specialist - 12 Month FTC

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Opportunity

Are you ready to play a key role in protecting and managing a major software estate? We're looking for a Software Asset Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. You'll take ownership of the full software lifecycle – from request and deployment through to removal – ensuring compliance, optimisation, and control of our software assets. Using asset management systems and working closely with procurement, IT, and external partners, you'll help ensure we remain compliant with licensing terms, reduce risk, and drive value through smart reuse and re-harvesting strategies.

In this role, you'll manage asset inventories, interpret licensing agreements, support audits, and deliver accurate reporting that supports business decisions. You'll be an essential part of maintaining governance and operational excellence, aligning with standards such as ITIL, SOX, and ISO27001. In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• Experience of managing complex software licenses and agreements
• Experience with Asset Management Tools – Preferably Snow License Manager
• Experience in a complex, distributed IT environment
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and it’s software components
• Ability to use and administer automated discovery, reporting and inventory management tools
• Detailed knowledge of all client software and the licensing models (Perpetual, Subscription or SaaS, temporary, per workstation/user/device/concurrent, enterprise)
• Knowledge of Process management & Vendor management

We'd also love you to bring;

• Degree in IT or related studies
• IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager, ISEB Foundation Certificate in Asset Management (or equivalent)
• Experience using Oracle EBS
