As a Service Transition Manager you'll have responsibility for coordinating and delivering the smooth introduction of new or changed services into the operational environment! Working on medium and large projects, in line with agreed service acceptance criteria, you will ensure that operational teams are fully prepared, support documentation is in place, and service stability is maintained post-launch. Working under the guidance of the Lead Transition & Service Manager, this role supports key transition initiatives across networks, IT platforms, and customer-facing services.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Effective management of the service transition lifecycle for assigned projects
  • Working with project teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain service transition plans, readiness checklists, and acceptance criteria
  • Liaise with business departments to facilitate and promote the use of service transition governance framework
  • Providing updates and reporting on progress as appropriate

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:

  • Extensive experience working in a service transition environment or similar
  • Qualified to a minimum of ITIL v4 Foundation
  • In-depth understanding of service design, transition and change enablement
  • Demonstrable understanding of service transition processes and operational readiness
  • Advanced stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict management skills

  • Ability to understand complex organisational designs and structures

  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies
