The role of Senior Technical Accounting Manager is an integral role within the Accounting, Reporting & Control team and is responsible for the integrity of the reported financial results of Virgin Media O2 .

The importance of the role is significant, ensuring accuracy and compliance across each of the reporting requirements.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, with a proven technical accounting background
  • Strong in-depth understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles
  • Able to resolve complex accounting issues and transactions
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate with, and influence a wide range of internal stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Experience reviewing and deciphering contracts to determine an appropriate accounting treatment
The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to;

  • Provide International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U Generally Accepted Accounting Participles (US GAAP) technical accounting and accounting policy direction assistance
  • Partner closely with Finance Business Partners regarding accounting policy assessments on any new contracts, products and business opportunities and for helping maintain accounting policies
  • Take a leading role in developing and coordinating accounting policy training to ensure a robust framework of understanding across finance
  • Have an understanding of Goodwill Impairment Assessment
  • Maintain a positive relationship with out shareholders and work closely with external auditors
