Senior CAS Support Engineer

As a Conditional Access Systems (CAS) Support Engineer, you'll be entrusted to protect the production environment and our customers from service disruption by proactively performing activities to maintain maximum platform availability. Reporting to the CAS Support Manager, you'll have responsibility for providing 24x7 operational support for the Virgin Media O2 DTV CAS, and SI generation systems, implementing changes as and when required by the business and ensuring all projects are fully impacted prior to deployment.

As a valued member of our skilled community you'll monitor the status of the main and disaster recovery Nagra conditional access platforms and Seachange (EventIS) SI generation platforms. You'll also liaise with Nagra Engineers and Development, on all technical aspects of the platform, and perform scheduled out-of-hours cover via an on-call rota to support the 24-hour, 365-day operations environment.

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• In depth knowledge of DTV broadcast/streaming platforms
• Proven experience working in an operational environment
• Flexibility with working times as an on-call rota is required
• Experience in a similar role or demonstrable transferable skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Teams
• Proven experience of fault finding and resolution

We'd also love you to bring;

• Basic knowledge of UNIX commands
• Knowledge of digital video streaming principles and formats
• Experience with Conditional Access Systems
• Ability to create simple SQL queries
• Good knowledge of networking protocols
