This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end development and delivery of VMO2’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) framework, ensuring the organisation is resilient, prepared, and able to respond effectively to disruption. It plays a critical part in shaping strategy, policies, and operational practices that protect the business, maintain customer trust, and support regulatory compliance. Acting as the central authority for BC/DR, the role drives alignment to industry best practice, sustains ISO 22301 certification for the legacy O2 estate, and extends this standard across the wider VMO2 organisation.
Bringing the framework to life, the role partners with senior stakeholders, security teams, and a network of Business Continuity Champions to embed resilience into everyday operations and strategic initiatives. It combines technical expertise, leadership, and governance to deliver robust planning, testing, and continuous improvement, while building organisational capability and confidence through training and engagement. Leading a team of SMEs, the role ensures that business continuity is not only compliant, but proactive, scalable, and fully integrated into the design and delivery of all projects and services across VMO2.
We’re a flexible-first organisation, because we know people do their best work when they have choice and clarity. To support meaningful collaboration, we ask everyone to spend at least eight days each month connecting in person.
That doesn’t just mean time in the office, it could be team meetings, offsites, volunteering days, cross-functional projects, or away days - anywhere meaningful collaboration happens. What matters is making those moments purposeful, so when we come together, it really counts.
