Programme Manager - Infrastructure / Cloud

We have an exciting new role opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our Core Delivery function within Core Engineering.

You will be supporting the delivery of projects and programmes within Core Applications & Cloud Infrastructure Engineering which is responsible for the architecture, design and operation of all “Core Infrastructure” related components and services which VirginMediaO2 runs its business on.

The role would be well suited for an experienced Programme Manager or experience working in a similar programme delivery focused role with experience managing end to end IT/Technology programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains an excellent working relationship with the business customer(s) to understand their business priorities and pain points.
• Communicates effectively across all levels of the organisation as required. Adapts their communication style to suit different audiences, including senior business stakeholders, junior team members and external suppliers. Presents information in a succinct and impactful manner
• Develops and maintains a viable plan, including consideration of constraints, risks and other factors which may impact the successful delivery.
• Proactively manages risk, following a recognised practice for the identification, assessment, treatment and review.
• Maintains control of allocated budget, including accurately forecasting spend through detailed planning.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and devise cohesive plans from disparate pieces of data

• Extensive experience managing complex projects & programmes in an enterprise environment
• Experience in managing cloud or IT infrastructure projects and programmes
• Highly competent presentation skills, including creative ability to present complex concepts, interdependencies and complex information
• Able to receive, organise and manipulate large volumes of data, and extrapolate the key pieces of information. Ability to pull disparate pieces of data together to put together cohesive information

• PM Certified – MSP or similar
