We have a new role for an Infrastructure Engagement Analyst to join our Core Engineering team

This is a key role to conduit our customers’ demands for infrastructure services. You will help define, identify and translate their infrastructure requirements to progress through the Impact Assessment and Design process. You’ll be key in ensuring demand is captured accurately as well as effectively so it can be presented to the Infrastructure technical teams and management in the form of demand reporting.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Support the provision of an effective demand management function, acting as the Infrastructure gatekeeper through trusted relationships with the Business.
  • Monitor the development, documentation and analysis of customer requirements - ensuring the Infrastructure services chosen meet customer needs.
  • Analyse and prioritise customer demand in terms of viability, risk, business need, and added value to aid the prioritisation of programmes and projects
  • Work with key stakeholders to complete Infrastructure Impact assessments to agreed SLAs - Oversee the process of costing, estimating and planning for a project or programme and gaining commitment from all parties to proceed
  • Manage effective handovers to Infrastructure Build and Delivery teams, ensuring a smooth transition, with clear deliverables clear expectations on timeframes managed
  • Report and track progress of customer requests through the use of business Project/task management tools – Clarity, JIRA etc

The must haves
  • IT / Infrastructure experience (General rounded experience covering virtualisation, software, hardware etc)
  • ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation qualification and / Or Prince 2 practitioner
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio & Sharepoint)
  • Effective stakeholder management; both to the customer and within the internal delivery support teams
  • Experience with project-based requests, managing complex and multiple work stacks
  • Clear understanding of Service Level Agreements and the ability to support in the creation and amendment of SLAs and OLAs
The other stuff we are looking for
  • Experience using business Project/task management tools – Clarity, JIRA
