This is a critical senior leadership role in the Virgin Media O2 retail organisation! As one of the Heads of Stores for the UK, you’ll lead one of our national Zones being responsible for a team of Regional Leaders and an indirect team of store colleagues across a wide network of locations. Responsible for driving commercial performance, inspiring leadership, and delivering an outstanding customer and employee experience at scale. You will have a significant impact on driving transformation and staying ahead of the latest retail trends, guaranteeing our store experience evolves in line with customer expectations. As a visible and accessible leader, you’ll actively engage with teams across our store network, strengthening team connection and translating our strategy into impactful, real-world results.

You'll boost performance, enable leadership, and play a crucial part in advancing our retail platform. With a clear focus on results and people, you’ll ensure our stores thrive as destinations that engage, encourage, and deliver.

You’ll own the retail strategy within your Zone and ensure it’s translated into clear, consistent, and high-impact execution. With a sharp commercial approach, a passion for people, and a relentless focus on customers, you’ll help develop the future of our retail channel and ensure it continues to grow, evolve, and lead.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Proven senior leadership experience in multi-site retail, ideally at a national or divisional level.
  • A track record of commercial success – delivering strong sales, profit, and operational results across large, dispersed teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with senior partners across HR, Operations, Marketing, and Trading to ensure flawless delivery of key business initiatives.
  • Proven history of business achievements – achieving significant revenue, financial, and operational outcomes within extensive, geographically diverse teams.
  • Lead all aspects of a large, diverse retail operation covering a significant number of team members across a wide network of stores.
