As Head of Internal Communications – Consumer, you’ll lead the storytelling for Virgin Media O2’s Consumer function — home to our Commercial and Operations teams.
Blending strategic communication with hands-on creative campaign delivery, you’ll make sure our people are informed, inspired, and connected to our ambition: to be the UK’s most-loved mobile brand and fastest broadband network.
From major business initiatives to day-to-day messaging, you’ll work closely with senior leadership, manage a dedicated comms business partner, and turn complex strategies into compelling stories. Stories that energise teams across VMO2, drive pride in our three brilliant brands, and keep our focus firmly on the customer.

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Excellent written, verbal and visual storytelling skills
- Strong commercial competence and ability to translate business strategy into compelling comms
- Confidence and credibility when advising senior leaders
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence without authority
- A creative and collaborative approach, focusing on crafting messaging and understanding audience impact
- A passion for brand, customer insight, and employee advocacy
We'd also love you to bring;
- Experience in a fast-paced consumer-facing business or telecoms
- Knowledge of brand and marketing functions, ideally having partnered with them
- Experience of crisis comms or high-stakes business transformation
- Familiarity with digital internal comms platforms such as Viva Engage and SharePoint
- Budget management and agency oversight experience
- Experience working with internal content teams or multi-disciplinary project teams
- Understanding of the employee experience and people strategy lifecycle
- Excellent project management skills
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and IC passion
