We’re on the lookout for an outstanding Future Careers Project Specialist to join our award-winning Future Careers team here in Reading at Virgin Media O2. You’ll be part of a small but mighty team to support the attraction and recruitment element of our team on a 10-month maternity cover until end July 2025.

 Our team are responsible for all early career’s attraction, recruitment and development at Virgin Media O2, working strategically to help the business build, acquire and develop awesome people to help us achieve our mission to upgrade the UK.

 We run multiple programmes today including Work Experience, Apprenticeships, Internships, and Graduate Programmes that are high in volume and complexity.

 This role will specifically support the attraction, recruitment and selection for our entry level talent programmes across work experience, apprenticeship, graduate, and internships across Virgin Media O2– typically 120-400 roles a year; across 15+ schemes at any one time.

The must haves

Since this is parental cover, we need someone who can quickly support our complex operations. The following skills are essential:

 • Excellent Project management, organisational and presentation skills and experience
 • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to juggle multiple priorities to tight deadlines
 • A data driven approach to decision making and able to analyse data sets
 • Proficient MS application user, with demonstrable experience in Excel and PowerPoint 
 • Ability to take high levels initiative and be a strong self-starter


The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring (not essential);

  • Experience of graduate, intern and/or apprentice attraction and recruitment
  • Supplier management experience
  • Project management qualification
