An exciting opportunity for Finance Business Partner to join Virgin Media O2. This role is responsible for business partnering with the Business & Wholesale Product Director and IT Delivery teams with respect to project costs (New Product Development & IT transformation projects). The primary focus of this role is to help create, prepare, and challenge business cases with the Product teams. It is essential in facilitating a strong understanding of spend and associated benefits and will visibly drive improved performance.

The must haves

  • A Qualified Accountant with experience and understanding of project accounting principles
  • A personable individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the gravitas to ensure messages land with senior managers and their teams with the appropriate challenge and influence
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships within finance
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical skills and experience of working within a Finance function in the telecommunications industry or another commercial organisation
  • Strong analytical mind set and proficiency with MS Excel
The other stuff we are looking for
We'd also love you to bring;

  • Experience driving cost savings and ensuring capital spend has a strong linkage to organisational growth metrics
  • Good presentation and communication skills – particularly MS PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated with minimal need for direction or supervision and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Experian from a subscription based, tech or a telecommunications industry
  • Hybrid working from the Reading office 2/ 3 days weekly
