This role is part of the Tesco Mobile team and will be based out of the Tesco Mobile (Slough, Welwyn garden city, Manchester office)
Working as Communications Business Partner, you will join Tesco Mobile in the Communications Chapter which sits within the Marketing, Brand & Comms Centre of Excellence (CoE). Within the Chapter sits a bunch of PR, social & internal comms experts, responsible for protecting, enhancing and building Tesco Mobile’s brand to deliver long-term growth. We’re a small team, fast-paced and energetic, driving the internal and external comms agenda. We also work with some great agency partners, presenting lots of opportunity to get stuck in, build your experience and make a huge impact.
Tesco Mobile is a totally unique business, a 50/50 joint venture between VMO2 and Tesco that launched back in 2003 and has gone from strength to strength as we’ve launched into new services, markets and customer propositions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Adaptable, inquisitive and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Tenacious and adept with leading and rallying senior stakeholders to drive actions forward
- Experience of working within Internal Comms
- Strong project management with experience in planning, delivering and evaluating internal comms strategies and events.
- Responsible for the strategic direction for internal comms, creating and implementing the IC strategy at Tesco Mobile
- Measuring and improving the effectiveness of communications, using insights to refine strategy and delivery.
- Working closely with the Leadership Squad (LS) to guide, advise and challenge them on how and what they communicate to colleagues to ensure colleagues are at the heart of everything they do.
- Taking ownership of the overall business comms planner and its weekly cadence ensuring events & news land with impact at the right time.
- Event management: In addition to owning the content, managing the execution of in-person colleague conferences/events, including venue booking, invitations, set up and refreshments etc.
