As a Business Response Engineer, you’ll be a key part of our 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) team, providing technical support to our managed service clients. You'll work within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to keep things running efficiently across our Business Enterprise and Wholesale networks.

Be at the heart of our operations—monitoring network infrastructure, resolving technical issues, and making critical changes that keep our services outstanding. While the role is primarily NOC-to-NOC facing, you'll also work closely with field engineers, customers, and internal teams to ensure end-to-end support from our customer solutions right through to our network and platform capabilities.

With responsibility for supporting over 15,000 managed service customers, you’ll bring a proactive mentality and a passion for problem-solving to deliver high-quality technical service and support—day in, day out!

So, we build equity and inclusion into everything we do, from the policies we craft to the relationships we shape. We support and encourage you to be your authentic self throughout your application journey with us.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Able to work on a 24/7 hybrid shift rotation!
  • Demonstrated experience using SNMP-based network monitoring systems such as CA Spectrum and IBM Netcool.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools including CIMS2, NMS, and wireless management platforms like ZoneDirector and Cisco Prime.
  • Previous experience in a NOC or managed services environment, with a strong preference for candidates holding (or having held) CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA certifications.
  • Experience supporting service improvement initiatives, with a focus on WiFi technologies (especially Cisco and Meraki solutions).
  • Solid working knowledge of network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, WiFi, firewalls, and data centre environments.
  • Practical understanding of Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing, as well as associated WAN technologies.
  • Familiarity with sophisticated routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF, along with configuration and support of wireless LAN controllers and access points.
The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

  • Strong written, verbal, and listening interpersonal skills, with a high level of PC literacy across standard business applications.
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, handle, and deliver customer focused change requests with minimal direction.
  • Proven diagnostic and fault-resolution skills, and a clear track record of resolving sophisticated technical issues.
What's in it for you

Our goal is to celebrate our people, their lives and everything in-between. We aim to create a culture that empowers everyone to bring the best versions of themselves to work each and every day. We believe the most inclusive and diverse culture makes for a better business and a brighter world.

Next steps

If we feel like a place where you can belong, we'd love to learn more about you as a person and your experience to date. Once you've submitted an application the next steps of the process, if successful, are likely to include an assessment day.

When you apply, you'll be asked about any adjustments you might need to support the recruitment process. Let us know, and we'll be sure to discuss it with you.

Please note: Applications will be reviewed, and interviews conducted throughout the duration of this advert, therefore we may bring the closing date forward. We encourage all interested applicants to apply as soon as possible. If you’re offered a job with us, it will be conditional, based on the passing of background checks.
