We are very excited to be looking for a forward-thinking individual to build and develop the planning models we use to run our budget, forecasts and three-year plan for VMO2… Does it get any cooler than that?

Our team’s mission is to provide effective and accurate planning outputs and processes that will help our outstanding internal partners drive value for our customers!

The role specifically sits in the Anaplan Centre of Excellence, where we manage the design, build and development of all our Anaplan models across VMO2, in close collaboration with stakeholders across the business.

Tell me more, tell me more…
You’ll be an important and valued member of our team, responsible for building and enhancing automated planning models in Anaplan. These models provide key business forecasts and insight for short, medium, and long-term planning across financial and operational requirements.

Our fantastic models currently cover Cable volume & revenue (VM), Mobile volume & revenue (O2), Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), COGS, Fixed Costs and P&L Consolidation, with several more in the pipeline. The ambition is to develop a connected ecosystem of models that enables the business to build value and we’d love you to be part of that journey, by being part of a high performing squad which can drive digital transformation through VMO2 at pace.

The Anaplan CoE sits within the wider Data Value Creation team, which ensures we maximise the value out of the rich datasets our data squads are building in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Anaplan models are a key enabler for this, and we are determined to make a positive impact to the day to day running of our business.

The must haves
•    Strong data modelling skills with experience of building financial planning and forecasting models (ideally L1 & L2 certified in Anaplan but not essential)

•    Proven skills in manipulating data using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques, and distilling the information into useful insight to guide operational or commercial change

•    A proven track record in presenting analysis and outputs to stakeholders
The other stuff we are looking for
•    Demonstrable experience managing and influencing a range of complex cross-functional partners within a matrix environment, working collaboratively to achieve successful outcomes

•    Experience in driving the continuous improvement of processes and means of delivery to partners, whilst also embracing and managing organisational change

•   A drive to succeed with a focus on delivering results

•   It would be an added bonus if you have experience working with tools such as BigQuery, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or similar but isn’t compulsory
