Business
Our scheme lasts two years with rotations across a range of departments. You will experience different aspects of either the Digital and Data technical or commercial stream within our Digital teams. At Virgin Media O2, we are passionate about creating change and you’ll help us do just that. On our technical stream, you’ll broaden your knowledge and experience in areas such as Digital Product, Digital Technology and Digital Security. On the commercial stream, you will get involved with Strategy, Delivery and Transformation.
Everywhere you go, you’ll be solving problems for our customers and giving them lots of reasons to love us…. You’ll broaden your knowledge and experience in areas such as:

What we look for
Graduates who are curious, resilient all-rounders with commercial acumen, collaborative and confident enough to question the ways in which we work. We also want to see your passion for the role of digital in the world as well as your willingness to adapt with our fast-moving business. Commercial, Product and Marketing
We want our graduates to play an active role in influencing the future of our products, services and experiences for customers for years to come. Our scheme lasts two years with four 6-month rotations across a range of departments. You will experience different aspects of our Business & Wholesale operation while building a wider understanding of the business and contributing to our unrivalled success. This will give you exposure to a variety of areas including, but not limited to, Commercial, Product, Operations, Marketing, Transformation, Strategy and Delivery.
You will gain exposure to:
- • How we develop our products and take them to market in our Product & Propositions teams
- • How we design for customer needs and improve the experience for our customers today and in the future in our Strategy and Customer Experience teams
- • How we manage revenue and track costs in our Commercial teams
- • How we promote our brands & what we do and sell in our Brand & Marketing team.
- • How we successfully plan, launch and talk to our customers about our brilliant products and services across Sales, Planning & Operations
We will give you a career mentor from day 1 to help you thrive on the scheme. To get a taste of what it takes to be a part of a successful market-leading company, you’ll get some great exposure with a range of teams across the business, including our Digital teams, our engineers and frontline customer service experts within Sales and Operations, as well as areas such as PR, Finance, Legal and IT.

What we look for
Graduates who are curious, creative and enthusiastic. We also want to see your capacity to learn as well as evidence you are interested in the bigger picture and can build strong relationships. You’ll be pushed out of your comfort zone while we support you along the way, but you’ll need to be open-minded and happy to learn new ways of working.

Digital
Our scheme lasts two years with rotations across a range of departments. You will experience different aspects of either the Digital and Data technical or commercial stream within our Digital teams. This scheme revolves around what you see for your future career, the projects going on within the business, and business need. So, no two days will ever be the same. Develop valuable skills and experience on new, real-life projects that are changing all the time.
What we look for
Graduates who are curious, fresh-thinking and driven with a real passion for innovation and exploring digital solutions. You should be brave, willing to experiment, even if it means failing, and confident enough to challenge our ways of working. This role will have you jumping from project to project, so you need to be agile and capable of handling multiple tasks of varying priorities at once, making sure you’re delivering on time. We’re looking for individuals that are stimulated by a lot of change with ongoing projects. Other qualities we’d like to see include:

Our specific requirements are a predicted 2:1 or above in a STEM-related discipline (science, technology, engineering, maths) for our technical stream or a predicted 2:1 or above in any discipline for our commercial stream; demonstration of a strong interest in innovating and exploring digital solutions; the right to work in the UK.

Finance
Running the numbers? Running reports? We’ve got something better. Over three years, you’ll work across the many different areas of our finance operation, learning how to build trusting relationships with colleagues and establish a rock-solid foundation in the fundamentals of accounting.
Our graduate scheme lasts three years with three 12-month rotations across a range of departments, enabling you to broaden your knowledge in different aspects of our Finance operation while building a wider understanding of the business and contributing to our unrivalled success.
You’ll kick off by learning how to establish business relationships and building your fundamental accounting knowledge, before taking on a role as a Finance Business Partner,then going on to gain experience in more specialist areas including:

Sales
Learn how to make every sales opportunity a done deal. On this two-year scheme, you’ll master each of our small and medium business areas – understanding customers' needs and driving our marketing activities, while getting to know our game-changing products inside and out.
Our scheme lasts two years with four 6-month rotations within our fast-paced, target-driven B2B organisation. You could experience areas of our SMB (small and medium business) segments, such as:
- • SMB
- • Enterprise
- • Public Sector
- • Wholesale
You’ll master each of these areas, learning how to profile and tailor your approach to each customer, selling them the services that meet their needs. Learn how to drive marketing activity and content while getting to know our amazing products inside out. The customers you’ll work with are demanding, but very exciting, and you’ll have the opportunity to support them through their digital transformation using our products, ultimately improving their customers’ experience.

Strategy
No successful business can stay still. On this two-year scheme, you’ll keep ours moving by supporting the creation of new strategies, helping us find better ways to achieve our shared goals, and working on a variety of projects to improve all areas of our business.
Our scheme lasts two years with the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic projects that touch all areas of the business including Commercial Strategy, Strategic Planning and Corporate Strategy & Development. You will support on complex business strategies and identify ways for our business to achieve our strategic goals, working with partners across our business and our parent companies, Liberty Global & Telefonica. You could be looking at what the future of the tariff table looks like to develop the Pricing & Distribution strategy, evaluating the future shape of the industry or investigating the pros and cons of buying or merging with other businesses too. No two projects will be the same. Day-to-day responsibilities you could get involved in include:
- • Supporting the creation of board-level documents and proposals
- • Modelling and forecasting for future market growth scenarios and commercial business cases
- • Setting direction for the overall business through different strategies
- • Completing market analysis of trends, competitors and potential disruption
What we look for
Graduates who are solution driven with a real understanding of what corporate strategy is. Candidates should be willing to develop, confident in speaking to stakeholders at all levels and understanding and able to digest large amounts of complicated information and translate it into clear, understandable information. This role will have you working on a wide range of projects with different teams, from Technology to Merger & Acquisition, so you should be adaptable and capable of managing and prioritising your workload. We’re looking for individuals that are confident with analysing information and drawing conclusions. Other qualities we’d like to see include:

Technology, Transformation & Business Management
Our success comes from continual improvement. On this two-year scheme, you’ll help us achieve it. Owning projects from the get-go, you’ll take them from idea to implementation – and play an active part in all the new ways we deliver for customers.
Our graduate scheme lasts two years with four 6-month rotations across a range of departments, enabling you to broaden your knowledge in different aspects of our business while building a wider understanding and contributing to our unrivalled success. On each rotation, you will be given a specific project to lead on and these will be real-time, genuine business-contributing projects. You’ll be the owner, not just support and progress it through to implementation.
At Virgin Media O2 our Network Expansion division is leading the way by growing our network footprint to reach millions of new customers, both residential and businesses, via fixed line and 5G connectivity. We are on a continual improvement journey delivering services in new ways, either through technology or different ways of working whilst keeping a focus on improving environmental impact.
