This is a new, exciting and a brilliant opportunity to join Virgin Media O2 as a Solutions Architect! The successful candidate will be comfortable being customer facing and proactively engaging with our customers.

You will be fortunate enough to work in partnership with our Sales Teams to create world class, innovative and efficient technical solutions for our Wholesale (fixed) customers.

The Solution Architect’s purpose is to function as the technical point of contact for complex customer requirements, through design, installation and to the point of the customer’s first bill. 

You will work with Sales Engineering on customer opportunities and may, in some instances be directly customer facing with the Sales representative. In this role the Solution Architect will focus on developing end-to-end solutions for our largest and most complex sales opportunities.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Strong knowledge of Optical and Ethernet networking.
  • Good experience in a customer facing, solution positioning and Sales Engineering environment is crucial. 
  • First class ability to understand and present complex technical solutions, to technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Confident in producing the most cost effective and commercially competitive solutions. 
  • Strong experience across Data (L1/L2/L3) technologies.

We'd also love you to bring;
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Proven excellent consultative, facilitation and customer relationship skills.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and how they strategically fit.
  • This role is Hybrid with plenty of opportunity to work from home, but we do need flexibility to handle UK travel and overnight stays.
