Senior Node.js Developer - Microservices Architecture/API Design

We have an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Node.js Developer to work alongside our Technical Lead in designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving technical perfection, mentoring junior developers, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

You'll be a key player in shaping the user experience by building web and client apps, writing outstanding server-side code, and developing microservices and real-time applications. You'll make sure everything runs efficiently, follows the right architecture, and integrates seamlessly.

You will take the lead on development projects, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and high performing. You'll drive code quality through reviews, optimize performance, and take on technical challenges with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver outstanding applications.

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• Previous demonstrable experience in a similar Senior Node.js Developer role within a sophisticated technical and stakeholder environment
• A solid grasp of Node.js, including its core concepts, event-driven architecture, and ecosystem, is crucial, long with experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications using Node.js and related technologies
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing microservices architecture using Node.js, with a proven focus on optimising performance, scalability, and efficiency
• Extensive experience in backend development, including server-side scripting, API development, and database interaction
• Familiarity with popular Node.js frameworks and libraries such as Express.js, Koa.js, or NestJS
  
  

We'd also love you to bring;

• A familiarity with deployment pipelines, containerisation (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms
• An understanding of security principles and best practices for Node.js applications, including authentication, authorisation, and data encryption
